Prenzlauer Berg jazz-kissa homage on a published Altec Voice of the Theatre A7: 416A/828 bass, 808 aluminium-diaphragm driver on a 511 horn, 16 Ω, with Werner Jagusch speaker-level autoformer crossovers and JBL 2405 supertweeters. Thöress F2A11 and Thöress phono, Micro-Seiki DQX-500 with Audio-Technica VM740ML / VM750SH, Belden internal wiring and Canare amp cables. Jagusch’s autoformer crossover and the 2405 are the custom voicing on a 1970s A7 that the bar says is surgical and unforgiving of a bad pressing — exactly the chain a kissa homage wants.

How the system serves the room

Rhinoceros pairs an Altec A7-based system with Thöress amplification and a Micro-Seiki analogue source. The listed Jagusch crossover and JBL supertweeter are important: this is a configured system, not simply an untouched example of a vintage Altec cabinet.

The large horn and bass sections can provide substantial acoustic output, while the crossover determines how their contributions join. Speaker-level matching and integration of the supertweeter are therefore central to the design. The published component detail does not establish in-room frequency response or listener coverage.
