Bar Neiro builds its analogue chain around Altec A5 components in Western Electric 825 cabinets: 515B woofers, 1505B horns and 288C compression drivers, supplemented by Fostex T90A supertweeters. Shindo Cortese 300B amplification uses Western Electric 300B valves, with a Shindo Monbrison preamplifier. The source is a Garrard 301 with an A23 Hommage mat and 12-inch Schick arm. Audio-Technica ART1000 and VM750SH cartridges provide alternative pickup options, with Auditorium 23 cabling. High-efficiency horn loading and low-power valve amplification are central to the design, within an acoustically considered room.

Rhinoçéros uses an Altec Voice of the Theatre A7 system: a 416A/828 bass section, 808 compression driver with aluminium diaphragm and a 511 horn, in a 16 Ω configuration. Werner Jagusch speaker-level autoformer crossovers and JBL 2405 supertweeters are important additions to the loudspeaker assembly. Thöress F2A11 amplification and a Thöress phono equalizer accompany a Micro-Seiki DQX-500 with Audio-Technica VM740ML and VM750SH cartridge options. Belden internal wiring and Canare amplifier cables complete a system in which the crossover and supplementary tweeters are as significant as the original Altec components.

Vintage Altec loudspeakers from the 1970s sit within a wood-lined interior designed by SOLUM. The perforated-steel bar incorporates absorption, making the room treatment part of the architectural work. The precise Altec model is unspecified.

The reported system uses Altec Lansing A5-X theatre loudspeakers with Technics turntables described as “MK5G.” The precise SL-series deck variant remains unconfirmed. The large-format Altec cabinets provide the installation’s clearest design reference.

Tempo assigns different systems to its rooms. The Living area pairs Altec Model 15 speakers with McIntosh MC2205 amplification; the Bar combines Tannoy FSM II speakers with two Accuphase M100 monoblocks. The listening room uses Altec Valencia 846B speakers and a McIntosh MC2205. The concert room has a separate PA comprising two L-Acoustics 112P speakers and two 18-inch DAS subwoofers. A Bozak AR-4 rotary is also part of the inventory. The distinction between the vintage listening systems and live-performance PA is fundamental to the venue’s layout.

Two OJAS installations serve separate rooms. The Live Room uses six 12-inch coaxial speakers. The Audiophile Bar combines OJAS 816 cabinets with Altec 311-90 horns, 288C compression drivers and Werner Jagusch crossovers. The bar’s February 2021 configuration includes Technics SL-1200MK2 turntables with Goldring E3 cartridges, a Urei 1620 mixer and reported McIntosh MC252 amplification. That dated configuration belongs to the Audiophile Bar and should be kept separate from the Live Room’s coaxial installation.

Public Records has several distinct installations. The indoor Sound Room combines Void Nexus XL subwoofers, OJAS quad-15 slot-loaded midbass cabinets, Altec 1505B multicell horns and Faital supertweeters. Void and BGW amplification works with BSS processing; four Technics SL-1200MK2s and four Pioneer CDJ-2000NXS2s accompany a custom Isonoe mixer. The Bar Room uses replica Altec 816 midbass cabinets, OJAS cabinets with 500 Hz horns and Altec high-frequency drivers, plus Void Venu 115 subwoofers. Crown and BGW amplification accompanies analogue crossovers, with two SL-1200MK2s, two CDJ-2000NXS2s and an Isonoe mixer at the booth. The outdoor Nursery has an OJAS × NNNN fully horn-loaded four-way installation. A later Atrium installation uses six OJAS × NNNN ON M I assemblies and eight TL18 subwoofers. These room-specific systems represent different chapters and spaces, rather than components of one signal chain.

Klipsch Cornwall mains sit alongside additional Klipsch speakers and subwoofers, Altec five-panel horns and vintage Cary valve amplification. Technics 1200-family decks use Isonoe isolators, with a MasterSounds Radius four-valve mixer and effects unit at the booth. The installation combines different loudspeaker roles with an analogue source chain. Isolation at the turntables addresses mechanical vibration reaching the playback equipment, a practical concern when vinyl shares a room with substantial loudspeakers.

A three-way horn system combines RCA MI-9462 bass horns, Altec 1505 multicells with JBL 375 drivers, and JBL 077 tweeters. University C15W woofers load the RCA cabinets; an in-house passive crossover joins the sections. JJ Electronic 323 amplification and a JJ 243 preamplifier serve a VPI Scout with JMW9 arm and a modified Marantz CD-4000. Cartridges vary, so no single cartridge model is assigned to the installation.

The reported opening system pairs vintage Electro-Voice Georgian 400 and Altec Model 19 loudspeakers with Garrard and Thorens turntables. Dynavector and Pass Labs electronics join tonearms from Dynavector, SME and Sorane. The component list below comes from the pre-opening equipment announcement; the final installed combination has not been independently reconfirmed.

A refurbished pair of Altec Lansing A5 loudspeakers sits alongside a modern TPI quadraphonic installation. Acoustic wall panels and level-monitoring equipment form part of the room. The TPI model is unspecified; the two systems should not be read as a single documented signal chain.

Altec A7 loudspeakers serve the sofa area, while JBL speakers cover the bar. Audio-Technica’s 2022 report also identifies Accuphase amplification and a CDS DS-223FW preamplifier/mixer. The precise Accuphase model is withheld because the published designation needs clarification.

The principal loudspeakers are a pair of 1970s Altec Lansing Model 19s, acquired from a collector in Peoria and wired by Johnny Clark. Other vintage speakers displayed around the room should not all be read as active parts of the system.

Umut Turkeri restored Altec horns that the venue says previously served Sydney Opera House, installing them in cabinets inspired by Voice of the Theatre. These are custom assemblies, not a confirmed factory model. A special-edition Condesa mixer handles playback.
