Bar Shiru
The room
Daniel Gahr and Shirin Raza built Bar Shiru around jazz, soul and the pleasure of listening together. In this seated Oakland bar, records generally play as complete sides or albums, allowing the sequence of a recording to shape the visit.
Silent Sunday takes the idea further, setting aside conversation for communal listening. It is a distinctive ritual for anyone who wants to experience an album in the company of others.
