Browse this venue’s gear ↗A multi-speaker analogue room built for jazz at conversation level: Line Magnetic 812-LM Altec Iconic horns and DeVore O93 Orangutans share the floor with three pairs of Dynaudio X18, driven by Line Magnetic 805-IA / 34-IA tube integrateds and three Parasound Halo A23+ solid-state amps. Front end is an SME20 (Series IV/VI arm) and a VPI SuperScoutmaster with JMW arm, Ortofon 2M Black, Line Magnetic LP-33 phonos and a custom Isonoe ISO420 rotary. Tubes on the horns, solid-state current on the fill and Dynaudios, is why one Oakland room can do both intimate vocal records and a fuller house without changing the brief.
The founders treat the kit as a way to make the music feel present, not as a display wall.

About the sound system
How the system serves the room
Bar Shiru’s system combines several speaker types with valve and solid-state amplification rather than imposing one chain on every listening position. The custom Isonoe mixer provides the control point for the analogue programme, with SME and VPI sources and Line Magnetic phono stages upstream.
That range of equipment could support different coverage and presentation needs within the bar. However, the published inventory does not fully map each amplifier to each speaker pair, so it would be misleading to assign every component to a zone or claim a particular tonal result.
