Inside the system

Tannoy Autograph loudspeakers anchor a system with several amplification options: McIntosh MC240, MC275 and MC2300 units are used in rotation, alongside a custom 845-based amplifier. The Autograph’s large horn enclosure is a defining part of the installation, while the rotating electronics make the amplifier pairing variable. Sources include two Garrard 301 turntables and an EMT 930-ST. A Urei 1620 and Mark Levinson LNP-2 complete the listed control equipment. The mix of broadcast-derived turntables, a rotary mixer and large horn speakers gives the system a coherent analogue identity without implying that every amplifier operates simultaneously.

Bar Shiru combines Line Magnetic 812-LM Altec Iconic horns, DeVore O93 Orangutans and three pairs of Dynaudio X18 speakers. Amplification includes Line Magnetic 805-IA and 34-IA valve integrateds plus three Parasound Halo A23+ amplifiers. The inventory spans several speaker and amplifier types; individual channel assignments are not specified. The vinyl front end includes an SME20 and a VPI SuperScoutmaster with JMW arm, Ortofon 2M Black cartridges, Line Magnetic LP-33 phono stages and a custom Isonoe ISO420 rotary mixer. The combination gives record playback a substantial dedicated signal chain before it reaches the room’s multiple speaker positions.

Klipschorn AK6 loudspeakers form the main system, with a pair of Topping B200 monoblocks driving their midrange and treble. Bag End IPD12 subwoofers handle low-frequency support; LEA Connect 702 and Connect 354 amplifiers also form part of the installation. Klipsch Heresy IV speakers serve the upper level. Technics SL-1200MK7 turntables with Ortofon Concorde Club MKII cartridges feed a Swiss-built Varia Instruments RDM40 mixer. The design prioritises the dynamics of vinyl and stable stereo placement. Mogami Neglex W2534 signal cable, W3082 speaker cable and Neutrik connectors complete the wiring. Acoustic treatment is integrated into the listening space. The monitor designation is retained as “KL172 SMA RAW”; its precise revision remains unconfirmed.

Tannoy Westminster speakers and Prestige GR supertweeters are supported by two KEF KC92 subwoofers. The inventory includes McIntosh valve and solid-state electronics, plus ML1 Mk II speakers. Vinyl playback uses an SME 20/2, Series V arm and Ortofon Cadenza Bronze. Westminster revision and routing between components are unspecified.

Klipsch Cornwall III speakers are paired with Pass Labs amplification. The main record-playing setup includes a Linn Sondek LP12, Ittok LV2 arm, Ortofon MC Nr. 2 cartridge, Leben RS30EQ and McIntosh C45. The DJ booth has Technics decks, a Varia RDM20 and Graham Audio Chartwell LS3/5 monitors.

Inside the system

The venue lists Harbeth Super HL5+ XD and Compact 7ES-3 speakers, ModWright PH 9.0X phono stage, LS 99 preamplifier and KWA 99 monoblocks. Two Technics SL-1200 turntables use Ortofon Concorde Club MKII cartridges. Acoustic panels form part of the room treatment.
