Design & approach

John DeVore founded DeVore Fidelity in 2000, bringing experience as a musician, loudspeaker designer and hi-fi practitioner. The company’s catalogue includes the Gibbon and Orangutan families. Its own account places musical communication at the centre of development; the model and amplification used in each venue remain important to understanding the actual installation.

Inside the system

Bar Shiru’s system combines several speaker types with valve and solid-state amplification rather than imposing one chain on every listening position. The custom Isonoe mixer provides the control point for the analogue programme, with SME and VPI sources and Line Magnetic phono stages upstream.
