The room
In Philadelphia’s Old City, 48 Record Bar offers a gathering place organised around records. Shared listening gives the bar its identity, making the music a reason to meet rather than a detail at the edge of the evening.

Sound system
Browse this venue’s gear ↗Three speaker pairs serve different areas: KEF R3s at the front listening line, JBL L82s at the bar and KEF LS50s at the rear. NAD C-3050 and Parasound amplification support the installation, with a Pro-Ject EVO and Sumiko cartridge for vinyl playback and an Ecler WARM2 rotary mixer for selectors.
The layout distributes the programme across several positions with separate pairs for the front, bar and rear. Curtains and upholstery form part of the room finish, linking the coverage plan with the listening environment.
