Decibel Sound & Drink
The room
Decibel sits south of Portland in downtown Milwaukie. The Pletka family’s connection to music runs through the room: a record cabinet made from salvaged family walnut, a bar top repurposed from a bowling alley and equipment drawn from the Pletka and Eurotubes collections.
This is a working cocktail bar, with conversation and records sharing the evening. For a closer encounter with the system, Decibel also offers private listening appointments outside normal service; arrange those directly with the team.

JJ Electronic 323 amplification and a JJ 243 preamplifier serve a VPI Scout with JMW9 arm and a modified Marantz CD-4000. Cartridges vary, so no single cartridge model is assigned to the installation.
