Inside the system
Two Technics 1200-series decks feed an ARS MODEL9900 rotary mixer. The main speakers are sealed GR-Research X-CS Encores, each using two M-165 woofers around a central tweeter. The design is rated at 90 dB sensitivity with a nominal 8 Ω impedance. A Sansui BA-2000 provides amplification, with Threshold 400A and S/150 amplifiers also in the collection and rotation.
One KEF KC62 and two KC92 subwoofers support the sealed mains, while miniDSP processing addresses troublesome room frequencies. Klipsch Cornwall IV speakers work with an Elekit TU-8600S 300B single-ended amplifier built and upgraded by owner Kevin Rodriguez. A modified Technics MK2 carries a Nagaoka MP110 cartridge, Analog Relax lead wires and a Shelter headshell, feeding a Resør 2525FX discrete Class A rotary mixer.

Listening booth turntables: SL1200 MK4

Large active Genelec 1039A and 1038BC monitors anchor BAR•TON’s studio-derived system. A room-within-a-room approach integrates acoustic treatment into the construction, making the enclosure around the listeners part of the installation.

Giorgio Di Salvo’s bespoke system combines two three-way bass-reflex mains with Altec-style 15-cell horns, Alnico compression drivers and 15-inch bass units. Vintage JBL 075 supertweeters extend the main configuration, while two custom two-way coaxial cabinets serve ceiling positions.
Amplification includes a 10 W single-ended valve unit and a 15 W Class A unit, with buffered volume and input control. A Condesa Carmen rotary mixer and Technics SL-1210 complete the source and control side. The horn mains and smaller coaxials give different parts of the room distinct speaker arrangements.
Two OJAS installations serve separate rooms. The Live Room uses six 12-inch coaxial speakers. The Audiophile Bar combines OJAS 816 cabinets with Altec 311-90 horns, 288C compression drivers and Werner Jagusch crossovers.

Record-shop listening turntable: SL-1210MK2

A custom-built installation serves the bar, while a separate Technics SL-1210MK2 provides individual listening in the record shop. These are distinct playback roles: the house system covers the social space, and the shop deck allows records to be auditioned separately.
The installation appears to use Tannoy dual-concentric drivers in wooden cabinets, alongside Technics SL-1200/1210-family decks. Exact models remain provisional. In a dual-concentric design, the high- and low-frequency sections share an acoustic axis, making the driver arrangement a relevant feature of the speaker layout rather than evidence of a particular room response.
