Tannoy’s company history begins in London in 1926 and spans both professional and domestic listening. The brand appears here in several very different forms, from substantial room speakers to compact fills. Our venue records distinguish those roles and retain uncertainty where photographs alone do not establish a model.

Bar Martha’s published equipment information names the Tannoy Autograph. A visitor’s different recollection of GRF cabinets is not treated as an additional confirmed model.

Tannoy Autograph loudspeakers anchor a system with several amplification options: McIntosh MC240, MC275 and MC2300 units are used in rotation, alongside a custom 845-based amplifier. The Autograph’s large horn enclosure is a defining part of the installation, while the rotating electronics make the amplifier pairing variable.
Sources include two Garrard 301 turntables and an EMT 930-ST. A Urei 1620 and Mark Levinson LNP-2 complete the listed control equipment. The mix of broadcast-derived turntables, a rotary mixer and large horn speakers gives the system a coherent analogue identity without implying that every amplifier operates simultaneously.
Cornerstore lists Tannoy in its loudspeakers setup. The equipment details below reflect the venue record.

Technics, Tannoy, E&S and Parasound remain Cornerstore’s official equipment credits. In a September 2021 interview, co-owner Bob Nagel described two Tannoy SRM 15X and two SRM 12X loudspeakers, additional Tannoy subwoofers and an E&S DJR400 mixer. This is the documented 2021 setup; the current venue page does not confirm the model list.
Tempo assigns different systems to its rooms. The Living area pairs Altec Model 15 speakers with McIntosh MC2205 amplification; the Bar combines Tannoy FSM II speakers with two Accuphase M100 monoblocks. The listening room uses Altec Valencia 846B speakers and a McIntosh MC2205.
The concert room has a separate PA comprising two L-Acoustics 112P speakers and two 18-inch DAS subwoofers. A Bozak AR-4 rotary is also part of the inventory. The distinction between the vintage listening systems and live-performance PA is fundamental to the venue’s layout.
The available record tentatively identifies Tannoy equipment at Bambi. The model or attribution still needs confirmation.

The installation appears to use Tannoy dual-concentric drivers in wooden cabinets, alongside Technics SL-1200/1210-family decks. Exact models remain provisional. In a dual-concentric design, the high- and low-frequency sections share an acoustic axis, making the driver arrangement a relevant feature of the speaker layout rather than evidence of a particular room response.
Project Audio installed Tannoy Westminster stacks on custom supports at Hidden Grooves. The room also uses smaller Autograph Mini speakers.

Project Audio’s installation combines Tannoy Westminster Royal-class towers and Super Tweeters with four TPI UC15G units, two beneath each Westminster. Tannoy Autograph Minis provide fill, with Luxman M-10X and 509Z electronics, FFA/NST amplification and DSP crossover and time alignment.
Two Technics SL-1200G decks feed an Isonoe 420 rotary mixer. Separate listening stations use an SL-1210MK7, Leak Stereo 130 and Grado SR325x headphones. Townshend Seismic Isolators are used beneath the speaker stacks, linking the large-format loudspeaker arrangement with mechanical isolation.

ifAUDIO restored Tannoy Arundel Super Red loudspeakers, developing replacement crossovers and custom cabinets for the installation. An Audio Research SP14 preamplifier works with two Classic 120 monoblocks; a Cambridge Audio CXN100 provides digital playback. The modified Tannoys are a venue-specific installation, rather than an untouched factory configuration.

Tannoy Westminster speakers and Prestige GR supertweeters are supported by two KEF KC92 subwoofers. The inventory includes McIntosh valve and solid-state electronics, plus ML1 Mk II speakers. Vinyl playback uses an SME 20/2, Series V arm and Ortofon Cadenza Bronze. Westminster revision and routing between components are unspecified.

Haruo Nomura built the main loudspeakers, partnered with a McIntosh MC275 VI power amplifier and C22 control amplifier. A separate Tannoy Autograph Mini system uses a McIntosh MA5200. Technics SL-1200G and Luxman PD171A turntables, an Accuphase DP-550 and an Alpha Recording System MODEL-9000 supply playback and mixing.
