Graham Audio

Graham Audio builds BBC-licensed monitor designs in Britain. Its studio-derived loudspeakers have also been used for public listening programmes.

Design & approach

Graham Audio manufactures loudspeakers in the UK, including BBC-licensed monitor designs. Its description highlights thin-wall birch-plywood cabinets and purpose-made drive units. These are listening monitors with a particular design lineage, distinct from high-output club reinforcement systems even when both appear in the broader listening-bar scene.

Historical installation

Graham LS5/8 monitors were used during the NeueHouse Hollywood residency. This is a historical installation credit, distinct from the original Arts District bar.

  • 2021 NeueHouse residency speakers: LS5/8

Inside the system

The original Arts District bar used Klipschorn AK6 mains and modified Heresy speakers at the bar. Audio Note Jinro Shochu and M5 electronics served the main installation, with a McIntosh 6100 also in the system. Two Garrard 301s carried 12-inch Schick arms in Vinylista plinths, alongside a Condesa rotary mixer. The 2021 NeueHouse residency used a different combination: Graham LS5/8 monitors with EAR 509 monoblocks and a 912 linestage/phono stage. These are separate historical installations, each with its own speaker and amplifier pairing.
