Condesa Electronics makes rotary mixers in Australia. Its Carmen designs are used to connect record decks and amplification in several of the featured rooms.
Condesa hand-builds fully discrete analogue rotary mixers in South Australia. Its range offers different channel counts, equalizer arrangements and isolator options. Those are practical choices for a venue’s selectors: they determine how sources are blended and how broad frequency adjustments can be made during a set.

Giorgio Di Salvo’s bespoke system combines two three-way bass-reflex mains with Altec-style 15-cell horns, Alnico compression drivers and 15-inch bass units. Vintage JBL 075 supertweeters extend the main configuration, while two custom two-way coaxial cabinets serve ceiling positions.
Amplification includes a 10 W single-ended valve unit and a 15 W Class A unit, with buffered volume and input control. A Condesa Carmen rotary mixer and Technics SL-1210 complete the source and control side. The horn mains and smaller coaxials give different parts of the room distinct speaker arrangements.

Two Klipsch La Scala Heritage mains work with four Heresy Heritage IV speakers and two R-121 SW subwoofers. McIntosh C22 and MC152 electronics accompany a Luxman M-02, giving the multi-speaker installation several amplification and control components.
Two Technics SL-1210 M5G turntables and a Condesa Carmen V rotary mixer form the vinyl booth. Nakamichi 700 II cassette and Pioneer H-R100 eight-track machines broaden the physical-media collection. Six Douk T4 units and SIVGA SV021 headphones support individual listening, alongside the room system.

Audio Grail-restored Garrard 401 turntables with 12-inch Thomas Schick arms feed a Condesa Carmen rotary mixer. Two Line Magnetic 845IA single-ended Class A integrated amplifiers accompany vintage Klipschorns and lowboy Cornwalls.
The main horn speakers and back-bar Cornwalls give the installation separate listening positions within the same loudspeaker family. The combination of efficient speakers, valve amplification and restored turntables is the defining feature of the analogue chain.
A Condesa rotary mixer connected the venue’s Garrard playback setup. The specific mixer model is not identified in the record.

The original Arts District bar used Klipschorn AK6 mains and modified Heresy speakers at the bar. Audio Note Jinro Shochu and M5 electronics served the main installation, with a McIntosh 6100 also in the system. Two Garrard 301s carried 12-inch Schick arms in Vinylista plinths, alongside a Condesa rotary mixer.
The 2021 NeueHouse residency used a different combination: Graham LS5/8 monitors with EAR 509 monoblocks and a 912 linestage/phono stage. These are separate historical installations, each with its own speaker and amplifier pairing.

Cofounder Luca Esposito described the opening system in 2021 as Finnish-birch three-way columns, a project-specific tube amplifier, scoop bins and a rear-loaded bass horn. Eight additional self-built speakers covered the room, with a bespoke Condesa Carmen mixer. This is the documented opening configuration.
