Design / integration

Commune contributed to 888’s wood-panelled interior. The separate audio and acoustic team includes OJAS, Soundlux Audio and Steven Durr Designs.

Inside the system

OJAS / Devon Turnbull’s horn-loaded, Altec-inspired loudspeakers are integrated into the room through a collaboration with Steven Durr Designs and Soundlux Audio. Multiple amplifiers occupy the wall installation, while Technics SL-1200-family decks provide the vinyl source. Exact amplifier models and deck generations are unspecified. System design and acoustic work are linked to the wood-panelled interior developed with Commune Design. The installation is architectural in scope: loudspeakers, electronics and the room were considered together.
