Bryston

Bryston makes audio electronics. Eavesdrop uses a 7B SST amplifier in its installed system.

Design & approach

Bryston designs and manufactures electronics for professional and domestic audio. Its range spans power amplification, preamplification, digital sources and phono equipment. In a venue, the specific power amplifier and the loudspeaker load it serves are more informative than a general brand-level description.

Equipment in use

Eavesdrop lists Bryston in its amplifiers setup. The equipment details below reflect the venue record.

  • Amplification: 7B SST

Inside the system

House Under Magic’s Danny Taylor developed Eavesdrop’s system, acoustics, furniture and room as one project. Two custom-painted Danley SH60 Synergy Horns serve as mains, supported by two concealed Seaton Submersive S2 subwoofers, Bryston 7B SST amplification and a MasterSounds Radius 4V rotary mixer. The SH60 brings low-, mid- and high-frequency drivers into a shared horn structure. Concealed bass cabinets and a diffusion wall integrate the audio work with the interior, keeping the loudspeaker system and the room treatment closely related.

Inside the system

JBL Everest DD55000 loudspeakers are paired with a Spectral DMC-12 preamplifier and Bryston 4B NRB amplification. The source equipment includes two Technics SL-1200MK5 turntables, a Varia Instruments RDM40 rotary mixer and a Revox B77 reel-to-reel deck, bringing records and tape into the room’s analogue programme.
