The room
Spanish and Argentine references meet at Taberna Martha, a neighbourhood tavern in Lavapiés. Food, drinks and music spread across a lively bar, private dining room and a dedicated listening room, giving the Madrid venue several distinct settings for a visit.
The booth and main speakers occupy the central listening room. Music can also reach the bar and private dining space, connecting the rooms while leaving each with its own acoustic role.

Sound system
Browse this venue’s gear ↗New Fidelity designed the distributed system, with Vunktion responsible for installation. Two Reference 12 three-way monitors serve the listening room, supported by a custom 10-inch subwoofer and six Ref 6 satellites. A Varia Instruments RDM40 rotary mixer forms the centre of the vinyl booth.
The main pair establishes the dedicated listening area, while satellites extend coverage through the tavern. Acoustic ceiling treatment and decoupled speaker mounts connect the installation with the architecture of the bar and private dining room.
