Taberna Martha reimagines the neighbourhood tavern through Spanish and Argentine references, with food, drinks and music spread across a lively bar, private dining room and dedicated listening room.
The listening room sits at the centre of the venue, with the DJ booth and main loudspeakers. Music can also be routed to the bar and private dining room, giving each part of the space its own acoustic role.
New Fidelity designed a distributed system for Taberna Martha, with Vunktion credited for the installation. Two Reference 12 three-way monitors serve the dedicated listening room, supported by a custom 10-inch subwoofer and six Ref 6 satellite loudspeakers. A Varia Instruments RDM40 rotary mixer sits at the centre of the vinyl booth.
The main monitors provide a focused listening area while the satellites extend coverage through the tavern. Acoustic ceiling treatment and decoupled loudspeaker mounts are part of the installation, tying the equipment to the room’s architecture.

The Reference 12 monitors form the main listening-room system, while the Ref 6 satellites extend coverage into the bar and private dining room. This separates focused listening from distributed background coverage without forcing one loudspeaker pair to serve every space.
New Fidelity’s account identifies both acoustic ceiling treatment and decoupled loudspeaker mounting. Those measures address reflected energy and structure-borne vibration, although no measurements, crossover settings or amplification details have been published.
