Sonder Listening Bar

Sonder occupies a storefront in the Hollywood District, with records, oversized loudspeakers and a lounge that extends onto a patio. Cocktails, espresso and small plates make it a place to settle in for an evening; the music can move from a record-led hangout into a dance night.

Its Music Fans First programme has given non-DJs a turn at presenting records on the house system. Alongside guest selectors and record pop-ups, that participatory approach makes the collection something to share, rather than simply admire behind the bar.
