The room
One Park closed at the end of June 2026. The team announced the closure on its official Instagram account on 8 June; this profile records the venue and its sound system.
The listening bar occupied the upper floor, alongside The Other Radio. Downstairs, food and The Other Records connected the space to more than one part of Cape Town’s music culture.
The building’s conversion brought local artwork, wood finishes and a purpose-built DJ booth into the upstairs room. DJs and live performers formed part of its listening programme.

Sound system
Browse this venue’s gear ↗Phil Kramer designed the speaker installation using restored Altec cinema cabinets, new CNC-machined biradial horns and biamplification. The exact Altec cabinet model is unspecified. This is a custom hybrid system, so the complete loudspeaker assembly is not attributed to Altec alone.
