The Hi-Fi AtlasTokyo / Japan
This Tokyo café combines house-roasted coffee with music and intimate live performances. Its name draws on Haruki Murakami’s story and the jazz standard On a Slow Boat to China, with the idea of making time to linger.

The live-performance setup at this Jimbocho café and roastery includes a Yamaha STAGEPAS 400BT and three Shure SM58 microphones. This PA serves a different purpose from the separate Altec hi-fi listening installation.

The Yamaha STAGEPAS and Shure SM58 microphones support live performance at this café. They are a separate task from its hi-fi record-listening installation and should not be presented as that system’s source-to-speaker chain.
A compact PA can provide microphone mixing and amplification in one manageable arrangement. Placement relative to microphones matters for feedback control, while the piano’s connection and level need to be balanced with voices. The record-playing system requires its own equipment confirmation.
