MOGO
The room
MOGO brings dinner, cocktails and record-led nights together at Via Bernina, on the northern edge of Milan’s Isola neighbourhood. Opened in 2025, the hi-fi restaurant puts the DJ booth and record shelves inside a larger social space, with music programming by Polifonic and Burro Studio Records.
Giorgia Longoni Studio arranged the interior around a central bar and a dedicated listening area. A luminous ceiling grid, timber shelving and terracotta seating sit against concrete and polished metal; tapestries by Andrea Marco Corvino add another layer of texture. The room takes its cues from Japanese listening bars while making space for dining and conversation.
The kitchen combines Italian technique with international influences, serving dishes for sharing from aperitivo into the evening. Sunday brunch offers a daytime way in, while guest selectors shape the later programme. MOGO also runs an open-call cassette-night concept, inviting listeners to bring their own tapes.

Sound system
Browse this venue’s gear ↗H.A.N.D. HiFi built MOGO’s bespoke loudspeaker installation, integrating large cabinets into the record shelving and suspending additional speakers above the room. The booth-side cabinets have stainless-steel finishes; the overhead speakers use burl-wood veneer. Sound Metaphors is also credited for the booth-side speakers.
A vintage McIntosh amplifier forms part of the setup; its model is reported as the MC2300. The turntable, mixer, cartridge and individual driver models are not established. The installation combines speakers around the booth with satellites distributed through the space, rather than relying on a single pair to cover the whole restaurant.
