Founded in Yotsuya in 1967, Eagle is closely associated with owner and jazz writer Masahiro Goto. A large collection of records and CDs supplies carefully sequenced programmes, making the act of selection a central part of the café’s character.

Browse this venue’s gear ↗JBL 4344 MkII monitors anchor the rear of Eagle’s listening room. Their four-way studio-monitor architecture distinguishes the system from the smaller bookshelf designs found in many cafés. Positioning these large cabinets is an important part of how the system meets the room; the model alone does not establish its in-room balance.
