Void Acoustics makes loudspeakers, subwoofers and amplification for installed and performance sound. Its equipment can work alongside custom cabinets in a larger venue system.

Design & approach

Void Acoustics explicitly designs loudspeakers to be seen as well as heard. Its materials include sculpted fibreglass and natural-wood finishes for interiors and hospitality spaces. This allows a designer to coordinate visual presence with an installation’s acoustic needs, while the cabinet family and system configuration determine the actual performance.

Inside the system

Public Records should be read as several installations. The indoor Sound Room uses substantial bass and midbass sections with horn-loaded upper frequencies; the Bar Room has its own speaker and amplifier chain; the outdoor Nursery uses the OJAS × NNNN four-way system.
