Equipment in use

A Resør 2525FX discrete Class-A rotary mixer controls the modified turntable system at Unkompress.

  • Rotary mixer: 2525FX discrete Class A

Inside the system

Klipsch Cornwall IV speakers work with an Elekit TU-8600S 300B single-ended amplifier built and upgraded by owner Kevin Rodriguez. A modified Technics MK2 carries a Nagaoka MP110 cartridge, Analog Relax lead wires and a Shelter headshell, feeding a Resør 2525FX discrete Class A rotary mixer. High-sensitivity loudspeakers and single-ended valve amplification define the output stage, while the modified deck and rotary mixer maintain an analogue source path. The owner’s work on the Elekit is a specific part of the installation’s design.
