Pitt & Giblin
Based in Hobart, Pitt & Giblin makes loudspeakers in small batches. Jack Pitt and Ross Giblin combine cabinet craftsmanship with audio engineering. The workshop uses veneered birch-plywood cabinets and locally cast bronze waveguides.
Design & approach
Jack Pitt and Ross Giblin combine small-batch manufacture in Hobart with their own acoustic development. Cast waveguides are a distinctive part of the work, alongside amplification and signal processing. Their approach gives equal attention to controlled radiation, cabinet construction and materials, so a system can serve as a substantial piece of interior design as well as sound equipment.
