Design & approach
Manley manufactures professional valve microphones, preamplifiers, equalizers and compressors. Its Massive Passive film explains the development of a particular equalizer rather than making a general claim about valve sound. In a listening venue, that unit belongs to the signal-shaping stage and should be distinguished from amplification that drives the loudspeakers.
