IFAUDIO

Argentine studio IFAUDIO designs hi-fi systems around the architecture and identity of each space. Its work combines custom loudspeakers, its own designs and selected existing equipment.

Design & approach

IFAUDIO describes its work as a collaboration with each client, developing a particular sound and visual identity for the project. Its interests run from transducers and crossovers to the way an entire space feels. That approach is especially relevant where a custom installation must become part of the interior rather than sit apart from it.

El Willy Hi-Fi ↗

Custom installation

IFAUDIO built custom wooden loudspeakers for El Willy Hi-Fi, incorporating the cabinets into the architecture rather than treating them as freestanding additions.

  • Loudspeakers: Custom wooden speakers integrated into the architecture

Inside the system

IFAUDIO’s custom wooden loudspeakers are integrated into a Cantiera-designed interior. Heavy curtains and textiles form part of the acoustic setting, linking the cabinet placement with the room’s surfaces. The programme is vinyl-only; individual source components are unspecified.

Equipment listed

IFAUDIO equipment is recorded in this venue’s system. This does not imply that the manufacturer designed or installed the system.

  • Speakers: Custom Ramona

Inside the system

The main system pairs ifAUDIO Custom Ramona loudspeakers with a Cayin CS-88A valve amplifier. Ramona takes design inspiration from Altec loudspeakers, but is an ifAUDIO product; that influence does not establish an Altec installation here.
