Goldring

Goldring makes phono cartridges. Its E3 is represented in a venue’s vinyl playback chain.

Design & approach

Goldring develops hand-made turntable cartridges and also offers cartridge inspection and repair. Its range includes moving-coil designs with different stylus and generator arrangements. A cartridge credit therefore identifies a serviceable mechanical and electrical component of the source, not simply an accessory to a turntable.

Inside the system

Siwilai distinguishes a Live Room using six OJAS coaxials from an Audiophile Bar built around OJAS 816 cabinets, Altec horns and McIntosh amplification. The two spaces therefore need separate technical descriptions, even though they share a maker.
