Friendly Pressure is a London loudspeaker studio creating systems for particular rooms. Its projects bring speaker engineering into close collaboration with furniture and interior design.
Friendly Pressure treats a loudspeaker as both an acoustic instrument and an object within a space. Its Pickney prototype pairs a paper-blend mid/bass driver with a waveguided tweeter; the studio has also made speakers part of gallery installations. These projects show how cabinet scale, colour and dispersion can be developed together rather than added as separate finishing decisions.

Space Talk combines bespoke versions of the FP-Pickney and FP-215 Coaxial with an FP-498 in patchwork-wood cabinetry. Friendly Pressure developed that cabinet with Lewis Kemmenoe, integrating the speakers into the interior.
