DAS Audio

DAS Audio makes professional loudspeakers and subwoofers in Spain. Its equipment is represented here in a live-performance system.

Design & approach

DAS Audio’s catalogue addresses permanent installations, clubs and bars as well as touring and portable PA. That range reflects the different jobs a professional speaker may perform: covering an audience, reinforcing a performance or providing distributed sound across a venue. The specific installation record below identifies the role supported by our sources.

Equipment in use

  • Concert-room speakers: 2 × 112P; 2 × 18-inch DAS subwoofers (L-Acoustics / DAS)

Inside the system

Tempo assigns different systems to its rooms. The Living area pairs Altec Model 15 speakers with McIntosh MC2205 amplification; the Bar combines Tannoy FSM II speakers with two Accuphase M100 monoblocks. The listening room uses Altec Valencia 846B speakers and a McIntosh MC2205. The concert room has a separate PA comprising two L-Acoustics 112P speakers and two 18-inch DAS subwoofers. A Bozak AR-4 rotary is also part of the inventory. The distinction between the vintage listening systems and live-performance PA is fundamental to the venue’s layout.
