Bozak

Bozak is represented here by rotary DJ mixers. The name is closely associated with classic analogue mixing equipment used in record-led venues.

Design & approach

Bozak’s history centres on the CMA-10-2DL rotary mixer and its role in the development of DJ mixing. Contemporary products continue that rotary-control lineage. The directly attributed product films below are useful for understanding the layout and circuitry, while the venue records identify which model is actually reported in use.

Historical equipment

Tempo Audiophile Club lists Bozak in its source / playback setup. The equipment details below reflect the venue record.

  • Rotary mixer: AR-4

Inside the system

Tempo assigns different systems to its rooms. The Living area pairs Altec Model 15 speakers with McIntosh MC2205 amplification; the Bar combines Tannoy FSM II speakers with two Accuphase M100 monoblocks. The listening room uses Altec Valencia 846B speakers and a McIntosh MC2205. The concert room has a separate PA comprising two L-Acoustics 112P speakers and two 18-inch DAS subwoofers. A Bozak AR-4 rotary is also part of the inventory. The distinction between the vintage listening systems and live-performance PA is fundamental to the venue’s layout.

Shibuya Hi-Fi ↗

Equipment in use

Shibuya Hi-Fi lists Bozak in its equipment setup. The equipment details below reflect the venue record.

  • Rotary mixer: AR4

Inside the system

Shibuya Hi-Fi assigns a different system to each of its three rooms. The dedicated HiFi room pairs Klipschorns with a Luxman L-505uXii. The bar combines JBL “Heritage 100s,” as described by the venue, with Naim NAC72 and NAP140 electronics. The lounge uses bespoke Cathode Bias / Café Sound loudspeakers with 15-cell horns and dual 15-inch woofers. Technics SL-1200 MK2 decks and a Bozak AR4 rotary also form part of the project. The room-by-room distinctions matter: the custom lounge system is separate from the Klipsch and JBL installations.
